The SORD SMOCK Lite is the lightest and most compact fully functional Smock on the market. It has been fully redesigned after extensive consultation with real-world end users to improve fit, function and field performance and is now over 1.2kg lighter than the legendary SORD original..

The enlarged hood is designed to fit over helmets and other headwear, with a flexible wire frame for shaping and improved weather protection. Dual shock cord adjustments allow the fit to be fine-tuned for warmth, coverage and comfort.

Smocks are designed as an all-purpose outer layer with maximum storage, so with 11 functional pockets spread ergonomically across the garment, this one has you more than covered. The layout includes eight torso pockets, two sleeve pockets and a rear poacher’s pocket. The bicep pockets feature a large zippered main pouch with an internal elastic pen loop, plus a 4” x 4” Velcro panel for patches or identification.

The chest layout has been designed for use with body armour and chest rigs. Two large button-closure chest pockets sit above side-entry zip pouches for fast access while wearing equipment. The lower main pockets also use large slotted buttons for easier handling with gloves, with concealed zip pockets behind them that also house the waist cinch.

Large pit openings on each side dump heat when required and combined with internal mesh in the chest pockets, allow the wearer to shed heat and weight without removing equipment. Ripstop Nylon reinforced elbows add durability at a common wear point, while Velcro wrist cuffs help seal in warmth and adjust the fit.

The SMOCK Lite is compatible with the in-service zip-in liner and the SORD Smock Liner, sold separately.

The SMOCK Lite is not waterproof, but is built to provide a platform for equipment storage and enhanced comfort in the field.
