Enhanced Releasable Armour Carrier (ERAC) - Black - Medium
The SORD Enhanced Releasable Armour Carrier (ERAC) is a fully modular armour carriage system designed to allow soft and hard body armour to overlap at the waist. The use of a single jettison handle allows the ERAC to cut-away in emergency situations. The SORD ERAC system has been combat tested and proven.
Features:
Side Plate Capable: A seprate sleeve allows the user to insert side plates.
Adjustable Sizes: The ERAC is size adjustable for both width and height.
Emergency Cut-Away: The SORD ERAC uses a single jettison handle quick system cut-away is achieved in emergency casualty access, maritime / aircraft accident, WMD decontamination situations.The four cable jettison system achieves smooth release.
Breathable: Mesh material has been used as the backing face to allow water and sweat to drain away from the inside of the rig efficiently.
Weight Distribution Friendly: The cummerbund has been strengthened with the addition of a fold-over Velcro sandwich on either side that transfers weight on a vertical axis as opposed to the older standard Velcro wrap that peels off under weight.
Release Handle: The front release handle is centrally located for operation with both hands pushed down the centre line towards the belt. When not in use it remains stuck flat in place via Velcro out of the way.
Ergonomic Design: All four coated steel cables are enclosed for protection. The safety flap for the release handle secures the hanlde flush against the armour cover, remaining snag free and protected.
Rear Casualty Handle: A large carriage / casualty evacuation drag handle has been incorporated into the rear panel. Constructed of heavily reinforced nylon webbing it will not tear or break free under stress.
As with all SORD products, they are manufactured from imported US milspec materials and fittings.
Available in AMCU compatible AU Terrain, Black, USA approved Multicam, Coyote Brown, OD Green & other colours on request subject to MOQ.
