Frame Extenders – Extended Patrol Pack (EPP)

A lightweight structural upgrade for the EPP, these aluminium frame extenders increase pack height to enable the secondary load lifter position—improving weight distribution and overall carry comfort under heavier loads.

Designed to integrate seamlessly with the pack’s internal frame sleeves, the extenders provide additional lift above the shoulder line. This allows the load lifters to sit at a higher angle, pulling weight in toward the body and transferring load more effectively onto the hips and lumbar—reducing shoulder fatigue and increasing long-duration comfort.

How It Works

The frame extenders slide into the internal frame pockets on the rear of the pack, increasing the effective height of the frame.

To utilise the raised load lifter position:

• Unclip and lift the pack lid
• Detach the lid base from the lower Velcro panel
• Reposition it onto the upper Velcro panel
• Route the ladder locks through the lid base attachment points
• Re-thread and tension the shoulder strap webbing through the ladder locks

This adjustment raises the load lifter angle, allowing the pack to sit closer to the body while shifting weight off the shoulders and onto the hips.
