AN/PRC 152 Tilt Pouch Description
Seasoned users of the Harris AN/PRC 152 or International HHs radios usually have 3 gripes;
1. The need for front panel access. So we made a pouch that tilts.
2. The Radio gets pretty hot. So the pouch is made using composite materials, and
3. The length of the radio. Well we can't change the size of the radio but YOU can add the battery eliminator.
Designed primarily for use in this configuration, the pouch can also be used with battery fitted.
Weighing in at only 135g, you'd think we skimped on features. We think not.
-2 column MOLLE (Vertical orientation),
-Up to 50mm belt compatible (Vertical orientation),
-Can be worn horizontally on a belt (without tilt function),
-Full access to the side connector, Volume, PTT and Squelch buttons,
-User adjustable lengths (battery eliminator/splitter or 5.8Ah battery)
-Efficient battery access for quick swap (no need to remove the radio),
-One handed tilt mechanism that gives access to the front panel and protects the screen,
-Orientation of the radio in the pouch gives the GPS antenna separation from your ballistic plate,
-Made for a GPS enabled radio,
-Primary Role - Use with battery eliminator/splitter, Alternate- With Battery (when worn low on BA), and
-Cable keepers/Side Covers.
*Radio and ancillaries not included
152 tilt pouchBy: Will Tutt on 1 February 2017I bought this pouch almost 12 months ago and it has done the job. Good for looking at your screen on the go for changing freqs and looking at the GPS. However, removing the radio or changing batteries (a daily occurrence) is a nightmare. I couldn't pull out, or return my radio to its pouch in a hurry. I realize this pouch is designed with a minimum of material iot reduce weight, but in doing so it makes the battery a prick to remove. For this reason I'm swapping to a different brand for my 152 pouch.
